2 River Guest House - Farm Style Self Catering Accommodation near the Kouga Dam in Patensie, Baviaanskloof, Eastern Cape
2 River Guest House in Patensie is situated between the confluence of the Kouga and the Groot River, about 5km away from the Kouga Dam and about 2km away from the Baviaanskloof entrance gate.
We are a very convenient for stopping over when travelling to or from the famous Baviaanskloof Wilderness area.
This former farm building, with its wooden floors, high ceilings and beams, has been tastefully modernised into a comfortable self-catering guest house without losing any of its character.
The working farm produces citrus and vegetable products. From September to November it is blue berry season on the farm!
If you feel like a stroll along the river or even fishing there is a foot path that you can take from the guest house to a river, it is approx. a 300m walk.
2 River Guest House Accommodation
The accommodation comprises a sitting room with TV, 3 bedrooms, built in braai on the stoep, fully equipped kitchen.
The main bedroom has a double bed with en-suite bathroom with a shower, the second bedroom has 2 single beds next to each other, ideal for children. The third room has a double bed and en-suite bathroom.
A large kitchen / dining room equipped with a stove, microwave and all the other necessities for self catering.
Note: The water in the taps is from the farm dam, therefore it can be a bit discoloured during the dry season. There is a rain water tank next to the house for drinking water.
Please be sure to bring your own firewood for a braai.

TV: Only SABC 1,2,3 available.
There is a beautiful tree in front of the house that provides some shade on hot summer days and creates a wind break on cold days. From the verandah guests can enjoy uninterrupted views over a large grassy area to a ridge in the hills.

Please note: No smoking indoors, No pets allowed. Bring your own braai wood.

The Baviaanskloof area offers many 4x4 routes, hiking trails, fishing, mountain biking, rock climbing and much more!
The natural surrounds attract all kinds of birds which makes this an ideal place for bird watchers to relax and enjoy the area.

Jeffrey's Bay: approx. 70 km's away

Padlangs and Tolbos are local restaurants where you can also order take aways.
