The farm house is hidden among 200-year-old oak trees, with huge gardens creating a true oasis in the Karoo. Doornberg offers a large guest house and several other guest facilities which will ensure an unforgettable stay.  We have several self catering and B&B options available with beautiful mountain views... Perfect for honeymooners! 

Main Guest house:

• 4 Bedrooms, sleeps 8

Schoolhouse:

• Open plan cottage

Rondavel:

Our shed that is used for day to day farm life is transformed into a magical venue for your special day. The peacefulness of the karoo makes for a perfect wedding experience. You and your guests will feel at home and have a once in a lifetime experience!

Doornberg Farm Experience

Guests are free to use all facilities on the farm and experience true Karoo hospitality and cuisine in safe and secure surroundings.

Relax, soak up the sun, enjoy the peace and quiet of the Karoo. Go bird watching, game viewing or just……curl up in front of a log fire on a cold winter evening.

This Family farm has been farmed for 5 generations over 130 years. 200 year-old oaks surround the homestead and numerous fountains and streams give one a sense of peace and tranquility. The  farm with its gracious hospitality and friendly staff is reminiscent of days of yesterday.​

A few things to remember:

• Please bring your own drinks – we are not licensed
• Breakfast available but please bring own supplies for supper or book at any of the venues in Nieu Bethesda
• Regret –  no credit or other card facilities
• No fuel available in Village
• Accommodation available from 2pm onwards. Please vacate facility by 10am on day of departure.
• ALL ACTIVITIES DONE AT OWN RISK
